Produced under the name San Huxley, "Sometimes Art Can Be Useful (aka when I do laundry, I am a star)" was a series of self portraits created while doing laundry at local laundry mats. To shift tasks from being tedious to a joyful diversion, posed portraits documenting boredom and the absurd were taken over a series of months in a variety of locations. The final photographs were exhibited in a laundromat in Easthampton, MA located at 66 Cottage Street.
